Historical milestone: IsoButyl Quinoline made its debut in the world of fragrances in 1922 with Caron's Nuit de Noël, marking a new era in the creation of complex perfumes.
Although primarily associated with leather notes, IsoButyl Quinoline can completely transform a floral composition when used in a tiny amount, much like a drop of ink changing the color of a glass of water.
This ingredient is a foundation in the creation of Cuir de Russie, a classic fragrance base that recreates the scent of Russian leather, a material traditionally scented with birch to protect it from wear and give it its characteristic aroma.
