Vetiver plant roots can reach a depth of 3 to 4 meters in the ground, making it an excellent plant for soil conservation and erosion prevention in areas with heavy rainfall.
In aromatherapy, vetiver oil is often called the oil of tranquility due to its calming and grounding properties that help reduce tension and nervousness.
The word vetiver originates from the Tamil language of southern India, where vettiver literally means root that is dug up, reflecting the ancient practice of harvesting the plant's aromatic roots.
