Description
Styrallyl acetate originates naturally from gardenia blossoms, though it is often lab-produced for sustainability and stability. It features an aromatic profile combining sweet, floral, and green notes that strongly recall gardenia with a hint of rhubarb. Perfumers select it to build compositions requiring freshness and floral elegance. Its lab production as nature-identical ensures consistent quality and helps preserve natural resources, as it can also derive from renewable sources.

Additional information
- Styrallyl acetate is one of the core molecules giving gardenia its characteristic scent, imparting sweetness and freshness.
- Perfumers often call styrallyl acetate the gardenia key because it enables realistic floral fragrances without mass flower harvesting.
- Producing natural styrallyl acetate for a single 50ml perfume bottle requires hundreds of gardenia blossoms, making lab production a sustainable solution.
