Description
Isopropyl Myristate is a solvent widely used in the fragrance industry. Its primary function is to dilute raw materials that are overly viscous or pasty, making them easier to work with in fragrance compositions. Due to the stability properties it provides, it is the most suitable solvent for 100% naturally derived candles and candle bases. Its various applications extend beyond fragrances, as it is used in aromatic concentrates for shower gels, shampoos, creams, body and hair oils, and even dishwashing liquids. Although Isopropyl Myristate occurs in certain fruits, for commercial use it is produced synthetically rather than extracted from natural sources.
