Myrrh holds an important place in history and religion. It was one of the gifts offered by the Three Wise Men to Jesus, and ancient Egyptians used it in the embalming process.
Traditionally, myrrh has been used for therapeutic purposes for thousands of years. It has been used to treat oral problems, heal wounds, and act as an anti-inflammatory.
Myrrh resin is harvested by tapping the trunk of the tree, allowing the resin to flow out and solidify into dark, aromatic pieces that are collected by hand. This process has remained almost unchanged for centuries.
