Cyclotene was introduced in 1926, during the golden age of perfumery, when major discoveries in fragrance chemistry took place and many of the classic scents we know today were created.
The next time you enjoy maple syrup, you will recognize its characteristic aroma driven by Cyclotene, the same ingredient that may also be present in your fragrance.
Perfumers often allow fragrances containing Cyclotene to macerate for a longer period, knowing that the aromatic impact of this ingredient will strengthen over time to deliver a richer, more complex scent profile.
