Description
Butyloctyl Salicylate is a multifunctional auxiliary ingredient, particularly useful in sunscreen formulations. It has the ability to solubilize certain commonly used UV filters such as oxybenzone or avobenzone, and can also help increase the SPF value of sunscreens. In addition, it is cosmetically elegant, offering exceptional spreadability and a pleasant, moisturizing feel on the skin. Reports indicate that it even helps stabilize the sensitive UVA filter, avobenzone, thereby enhancing the efficacy of sun protection.
Additional information

- Helps increase SPF while offering exceptional spreadability and a pleasant skin feel.
- Assists in stabilizing avobenzone, an important but unstable UVA filter.
