Description
Sucrose, commonly known as table sugar, is a widely used cosmetic ingredient valued for its multiple skin-beneficial properties. It functions primarily as a strong humectant, drawing and holding environmental moisture to the skin surface to help maintain optimal hydration. In fine crystal form, sucrose can act as an effective and gentle natural exfoliant, gently lifting dead cells to reveal smoother, renewed, and brighter skin. Sucrose can also be used to add body and improve the texture of cosmetic formulas.
