Description
Madecassoside is a primary biologically active component of the well-known medicinal plant Centella Asiatica, also called Gotu Kola. It features well-documented wound-healing, skin-soothing and potent antioxidant properties. Research indicates that Madecassoside can enhance collagen production and regulate inflammatory mediators, thereby helping to prevent and correct certain signs of aging. In addition, it appears to inhibit UV-induced melanin synthesis, making it excellent for skin prone to hyperpigmentation. It also reduces redness and flaking in skin with mild atopic dermatitis, as well as itching.
