Description

Ceramide NP is one of the most common types of ceramides found naturally in the outer layer of the skin. Ceramides are vital lipid molecules that make up about 50 percent of the intercellular matrix, the mortar that holds skin cells together. They play a crucial role in maintaining a healthy skin barrier, which protects against environmental aggressors and prevents moisture loss. Consequently, Ceramide NP is essential for skin hydration and overall skin health. It is particularly effective when combined with other ceramides, such as Ceramide AP or EOP, as well as cholesterol and fatty acids, to mimic the skin's natural lipid composition.
