Description
Myristoyl Pentapeptide-17 is a five-amino-acid peptide (Lys-Leu-Ala-Lys-Lys) linked with fat-soluble myristic acid for better bioavailability. It is known to significantly stimulate keratin genes, signaling cells to produce more keratin, which is the vital structural protein for hair, nails, and the outer layer of the skin. Myristoyl Pentapeptide-17 is very frequently found paired with Myristoyl Hexapeptide-16 in eyelash-enhancing products, as their combination can visibly increase lash length after two weeks of use to deliver thicker and longer lashes.
Additional information
- Significantly stimulates keratin production, which is essential for the health of hair, skin, and nails.
- Widely used in eyelash serums for visibly longer and fuller lashes.
