Description
Ortho tertiary butyl cyclohexyl acetate is a synthetic fragrance ingredient known for its intense fruity aroma with distinct woody notes. If you use personal care products such as apple-scented shower gels or lotions, you have likely already encountered this pleasant ingredient. Ortho tertiary butyl cyclohexyl acetate is prepared in the laboratory through specialized chemical processes. In recent years, perfumers have increasingly turned to renewable raw materials for its production, supporting sustainability and the preservation of our planet's valuable natural resources.
Additional information
- Ortho tertiary butyl cyclohexyl acetate often holds the secret behind realistic apple fragrances, accurately mimicking the fresh aromatic notes of the fruit.
- Despite having a different chemical structure from natural apple compounds, ortho tertiary butyl cyclohexyl acetate interacts with our olfactory receptors, leading the brain to recognize it as a fruity apple scent.
- It represents an advancement in perfumery, enabling the creation of synthetic alternatives produced in a more sustainable way than extracting natural oils.
