Description
Barosma Betulina Leaf Extract is derived from the leaves of the Buchu (Barosma Betulina) plant, a medicinal shrub native to South Africa that has a traditional history of beneficial uses. In skin care, its primary active compound is diosmin, a potent flavonoid. Diosmin acts as an inhibitor of APN (aminopeptidase N), an enzyme involved in sebum production by sebocytes. By inhibiting APN, this extract helps effectively reduce sebum production for a more matte appearance. Studies have confirmed its statistically significant sebum-regulating action.
