Description
Benzyl acetate is defined by an intense floral aroma that resembles jasmine. It occurs naturally in flowers like gardenia and ylang ylang, giving them their characteristic scent. Perfume creators often synthesize this ingredient in laboratories to ensure consistent quality and help preserve the planet's natural resources. The laboratory-produced version can be derived from various sources, including renewable materials, making it a more sustainable choice. Benzyl acetate is widely used in consumer goods such as perfumes, cosmetics, and personal care products, thanks to its rich aromatic properties.
