Description

Montmorillonite is a type of clay first discovered near the French village of Montmorillon. Today, montmorillonite is used almost interchangeably with bentonite, the more common type of clay. Technically, bentonite is montmorillonite with additional crystal structures, or put another way, montmorillonite is 100 percent pure bentonite. In skincare products, montmorillonite is used for its high absorbency. It excels at immediately absorbing sebum and impurities from the skin and can even help address certain rashes or skin irritations. It offers deep cleansing and detoxification for the complexion, leaving it clean and refreshed.
