Description
Cedrol methyl ether is a prized perfumery ingredient that delivers a dry cedarwood scent, enriched with warm musky amber and earthy smoke notes. Its complex profile evokes the opening of an old wooden trunk filled with cherished family heirlooms, inspiring a deep sense of sweet nostalgia. This specialty ingredient is produced exclusively in a laboratory through specialized chemical methods. In modern perfumery, creators increasingly select renewable raw materials for its production, actively supporting sustainability and the preservation of the planet's precious natural resources.
Additional information
- Cedarwood scents strongly stimulate the brain's memory center, which explains why this ingredient can trigger intense feelings of nostalgia and past memories.
- Laboratory production of this ingredient reduces the need to cut down natural cedar trees, helping protect forests that serve vital oxygen-producing roles for the planet.
- Cedar has been used in perfumery for thousands of years, from ancient Egyptians who used it in fragrances and embalming to modern perfumers creating laboratory versions for sustainable scents.
