Description
Additional information
Citrus greening disease threatens global citrus production, with estimated economic losses exceeding 4.5 billion dollars in Florida alone over the past decade.
D-Limonene, the primary component of citrus essential oils, is also found in aromatic plants outside the citrus family, such as rosemary and mint, though in smaller concentrations.
The traditional method for extracting citrus essential oils, known as cold-pressing, dates back to the 18th century and involves mechanically pressing the fruit peel without heat to preserve the complete aromatic profile.
