When smelling fresh cherries, part of their signature aroma comes from lauryl acetate. This ingredient is one of the key aroma compounds that gives ripe cherries their sweet, fruity scent.
In the world of perfumery, lauryl acetate is often used as a bridge connecting top citrus notes with middle floral notes. This technique helps create more balanced and harmonious fragrances.
The molecular structure of lauryl acetate makes it relatively stable in fragrance compositions, contributing to greater longevity. This is one reason it frequently appears in scents that maintain their freshness for longer periods.
