Description

You likely encounter this ingredient more often in your kitchen than in your bathroom, but onion bulb extract (Allium Cepa Bulb Extract) is also used in skincare. Its primary skin benefit appears to be improving the cosmetic appearance of post-surgical scars, and there is even a scar-fading gel called Mederma that contains almost nothing else. Some manufacturers also claim that onion extract is scar-healing, has antibacterial and antifungal activity, can help reduce acne, and stimulates hair growth. It is a versatile ingredient with multiple benefits for skin and hair.
