Additional information
Ancient Greeks and Romans used spearmint to scent their baths and freshen their breath, while considering it a symbol of hospitality and celebration.
Although often confused with peppermint, spearmint has a sweeter and less intense scent. This is due to a lower menthol content, which offers a milder cooling sensation in fragrance compositions.
Traditionally, spearmint oil was used to relieve headaches and boost mood, properties that continue to be utilized in modern aromatherapy.
