Cardamom and ginger, natural sources of 4-Carvomenthenol, have been used in perfumery for more than 2,000 years, with ancient Egyptians and Greeks highly valuing them for their scents.
The molecular structure of 4-Carvomenthenol gives it the distinct ability to act as a bridge between fresh, spicy notes and deeper, woody aromas in a fragrance composition.
The use of lab-created 4-Carvomenthenol can reduce the environmental footprint of a fragrance by up to 87 percent compared to exclusively using natural extracts, contributing significantly to sustainable perfumery.
