Description
Cedryl acetate is a fragrance ingredient that imparts an earthy scent with cedar notes. It occurs naturally in cedarwood oil, but perfumers often produce a nature-identical version in laboratories. This approach ensures consistent quality and helps preserve the planet's natural resources. The laboratory version can be produced from various raw materials, including renewable sources. Cedryl acetate features a sweet, earthy aroma that under humid conditions can bring out amber and leather nuances. This versatile ingredient is widely used in the fragrance industry to create a variety of products, ranging from body perfumes to home fragrances.

- Cedarwood oils were used by ancient civilizations for their preserving and aromatic properties, long before cedryl acetate was isolated.
- In high humidity, the scent of cedryl acetate brings out amber and leather notes, offering dynamic evolution in fragrances.
